Rotorua Museum of Art and History and The Blue Baths

Government Gardens
Rotorua, Bay Of Plenty
This complex offers a chance to experience Edwardian elegance, to learn about the history of the bathhouse and the Rotorua region, its people and its geological stories and to swim in the Art Deco Blue Baths. Don't miss the audio visual display in the museum. There is no better place to begin your visit to Rotorua

The splendid Bathhouse which now houses the museum is built in an Elizabethan half-timbered style. It dates from 1908 and was an early Government tourism initiative. The architects were W J Trigg & B S Corlett.

The Museum houses the Heritage Art Collection of the Rotorua Energy Charitable Trust.
