A spectacular all day walk between Mangatepopo Rd and Ketetahi Rd. Allow 7-9 hours. The walk follows part of the route of one of the Great Walks - the Tongariro North Circuit. • Tongariro Crossing Location

An easy 7km walk which returns along the same track and takes less than half a day. It offers a close approach to Ngauruhoe Volcano passing through a moonlike landscape to end at the mineral springs in an oasis of vegetation. (The walk shares its route with the first part of the Tongariro Crossing.)
