Now home to the school of Philosophy, Wellington an institution that "exists simply that students may study and pursue a philosophic way of life." this building was initially built by the Salvation Army as a training facility - the William Booth Memorial Training College. It was constructed in 1913 and in 1927 won the first ever gold medal of the NZ Institute of Architects for its designer Stanley W. Fearn.
