Concerts, Gigs, Festivals and Live EntertainmentNew Zealand cities and many of the major towns have active programmes of live shows; concerts, plays and festivals, family activities and sports events throughout the year. In the summer there are many outdoor concerts and festivals featuring NZ and overseas artists and bands, sometimes in rural places. DayOut will help you find both what is happening in or near the city or town of interest and give you a map showing the location of the venue. By selecting "Event Venues" when carrying out a search you will find where concerts, festivals, gigs and othe live entertainment take place. The list of these event venues is under the "Attraction Results" tab. The map on the miniguide shows you ehere the places are. The actual live events can be found under the "Find Events in this area" tab.  The types of events are "Family", "Sport", "Concerts","Exhibitions" and "Festivals" and you can choose which time period is of interest.
